First Reconciliation and First Communion are a very important in the journey of faith of our children. Children will receive for first time the Sacrament of Reconcliation and the Sacrament of Communion, the body and blood of Jesus Christ.  Children will become one with Christ who share with us  His eternal life.

Your childre are eligible to receive First Reconciliation & First Communion during the second year of Religious Education. In order to be enrolled for the preparation of these Sacraments, the candidate must:

1.  Be a baptized Catholic

2.  Have completed the First Grade in Religious Education or Catholic School

3.  Be registered at St. Anthony's and in our Religious Education Program 

Preparation for First Communion is a two-year process that involves attendance at weekly Mass and Holy Days of Obligation, and religious education sessions. 

Confirmation is a TWO YEAR process of direct preparation
AFTER 1st through 8th grade instruction is completed. 

Confirmation candidates must:
● Have received the sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion.
● Be between the ages of twelve and eighteen.
● Have been adequately catechized in the Catholic faith through ongoing participation in a Catholic school or parish religious education program.
● Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the obligations of a practicing member of the Catholic Church.
● Have a sincere desire to receive the sacrament as well as an appreciation of sacramental life

Preparation for Confirmation is a two-year process that involves service to the Church and community, attendance at weekly Mass and Holy Days of Obligation, youth ministry events, and religious education sessions.
