Confirmation deepens our baptismal vows that call us to be missionaries for Christ. During this sacrament of initiation, candidates are "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit," as Jesus Christ did with his apostles right before He ascended into Heaven.
Once a candidate learns about the responsibilities of becoming an adult Catholic and performs acts of service for the community, he or she can join the Church as a Confirmed member in Christ.
Children at St. Anthony's typically receive Confirmation around eighth or ninth grade. If you are an adult interested in receiving the sacrament for the first time, please contact Tolga Sungu at [email protected].
