A priest can provide the Sacrament of Anointing when one reaches the “age of reason.” In this sacrament, the sick will receive the Holy Spirit's gift of courage and peace to fight physical, mental, and spiritual ailments.
A person does not need to wait until near death to receive the sacrament but may receive the oils when confronted with a serious injury or illness.
St. Anthony's will typically hold Masses for the sick twice a year: one in the spring and one in the fall. Check the calendar for the next healing Mass. If you have questions, please call the parish rectory at 201-768-1177.
